Mrs. Crocker I am Not

Mo’s 3rd birthday party is this Sunday and we’re celebrating it Blues Clues style.  Being the domestic wannabe that I am, I decided to purchase some cookie cutters to make things more festive.  Now I know you might find this hard to believe, but I have never used cookie cutters before.  It sounds ridiculous, but it’s true.  Due to my inexperience, I decided it would be a good idea to get some practice in before making the actual cookies that people would be consuming at the party.

Um… Houston, we have a problem.

These cookies look nothing like a doggy bone, fire hydrant or paw print.  No-sir-eee.  They’re just blobs of nothingness.  I know I’m generally inept in the kitchen, but jeez-oh-flip, how in the hell could I have screwed this up?

  5. That is too funny!  Nobody can see what they look like when they are covered with heaping mounds of icing!

  6. The cookies may look strange but the cupcakes and bread cutouts look good!  Best quote of today: “There are some things you just don’t share in a firehouse”!
