Monkeygirl Update

1. We went to look at the cool house on Tuesday night. Loved it! It needed a lot of cosmetic work, but had great potential. Ultimately, though, the neighborhood is just too much of an issue for us to consider sacrificing our current abode. A girl can dream though, right?

2. Mo's been going to her new babysitter for 3 weeks now. I'm not sure how it's going yet. I can't wait until the day she can tell me what's going on. I've observed some strange things in picking/dropping her off. But today was the hardest of all. As soon as we stepped foot into the babysitter's house, tears welled up in her eyes and she started crying "Momma". I literally had to carry her across the room and just leave. It broke my heart. I realize she's at the perfect age to have separation anxiety, but she has never had that problem before. Why all of a sudden this morning? All day long I had pangs of guilt about leaving her there. I'm just hoping it was an isolated thing and this doesn't happen next week.

3. We finally got our TIVO today! Yippeeee!

I feel for ya 110%. I've been thru that will all 3 of my boys. It does rip your heart right out, doesn't it? Sometimes I would drive to work crying from the guilt. Hang in there, we all somehow manage to get thru these times! Before you know it she'll be a teenager and you can tell her this story and you can all laugh about it. I love talking to my 14 year old about how he was when he was a baby and he loves the stories. I've even recently asked him what he would cry about all the time when he was a baby...he didn't have an answer for me! lol
Good luck!

I HATED leaving Isaac at day care when he would cry (which was about every other day). And I trusted that place completely. The funny thing about it is that they pretty much stop crying as soon as you leave.

Ohmygod you will love your Tivo. You will wonder how you ever lived without it, ESPECIALLY with kids. Have it record the stuff you want her to see -- and you can watch it when you feel like it, not just when it's on (or when you remember to set the VCR). Have it record stuff you want to watch yourself and you will never have to watch TV in front of her again if you like -- you can just do it all in a big, lazy, fun downtime after she goes to bed!
